About Peter Clarke DHE RHS Wisley Cert Inst Hort & Cracking Gardens

I have spent the majority of my professional career working as a Head Gardener for the National Trust. I worked at a variety of the National Trust properties giving me a wide range of challenges and opportunities to work in areas from topiary to meadow management. It also gives me an understanding of the particular needs and requirements in planning and maintaining larger gardens and how to maximise their impact on the senses – sight, sound and smell.

Gardening Training and Qualifications

As you would expect from a Head Gardening I have had expensive formal training including at the Royal Horticultural Society in Wisley.

I set up Cracking Gardens a few years ago after leaving the National Trust as I wanted to continue with my passion for developing gardens and green spaces into their full potential for people to enjoy.

I have lived in Haslemere for many years and as Cracking Gardens services are in demand in restrict the area that I cover to a radius around Haslemere that includes parts of West Sussex and Hampshire. More details on the exact geographical area that I provide gardening services in can be found on the Areas Covered page. If you would like me to help you with your gardening needs please don’t hesitate to get in touch. The details are on the contact page.
